 100年以上も昔、アウトドアマンの為に開発されたこの素材は表面のコットン編み物（ラッセル編み）と裏面のウールフリースの2層構造となっており、いわばスウェットと同じ構造となっております。その割合は裏面のフリースが7割以上を占め、起毛をかなり強くかけることでニット製品とは思えない程の耐久性が生まれます。表面は2色の番手の異なる糸を撚り合わせることにより通称「ごま塩」と呼ばれる凹凸のBROWN'S　BEACH特有の雰囲気を醸し出しております。モデルは、20ｓ～30ｓに生産されたものによく見られる首元の詰まったタイプのベストとなります。DOT社製ニップル釦（MADE IN USA）、オリジナルテープ、バックシンチはそのままに、フロント左右ポケットの付け位置を少し中央に寄せることで、より当時の雰囲気を再現致しました。シルエットの微調整とポケットの形状を変更し、20’s〜30’sのオリジナルに立ち返ったデザインになりました。新色のブラックも加わり3色展開となります。

Developed more than 100 years ago for outdoorsmen, this fabric features a unique two-layer construction consisting of a cotton knit surface (Russell knit) and a wool fleece backing—essentially the same structure as a sweatshirt. The fleece backing accounts for more than 70% of the material, and by applying a strong brushing process, it achieves a level of durability that is hard to imagine for a knit fabric.The surface is made by twisting together two different yarn counts in contrasting colors, creating the distinctive uneven “salt and pepper” texture that defines the characteristic look of BROWN'S BEACH. This model is based on the tightly cut neckline vest often seen in pieces produced during the 1920s–1930s. It retains authentic details such as DOT nipple buttons (MADE IN USA), original tape, and the back cinch. The placement of the front pockets has been slightly shifted toward the center to more closely reproduce the atmosphere of the original garments from that era. With subtle adjustments to the silhouette and a revised pocket shape, the design returns to the essence of the original pieces from the 1920s–30s. A new black color has also been added, bringing the total to three available color opt ions.
