ビーチクロスのゴマ塩のイメージを児島帆布製セルビッチ8号帆布で表現した春夏用ブラウンズビーチベスト。黒、グレー、生成りの糸を何本も撚り合わせた平織りの地熱い生地。非常に丈夫でへたりにくく、通気性もよく、着こむほどに味が出てくる織物です。綿花の栽培が盛んだった岡山県倉敷市児島地区。撚糸技術を活かして日本一の緬帆布の生産地として成長を遂げ、今も全国生産量の7割を占めています。
Browns Beach Vest for spring and summer, featuring the sesame salt image of beach cloth, and made of Kojima Canvas's selvedge No. 8 canvas. This plain-weave fabric is made by twisting several black, gray, and raw threads together. The more you wear it, the more you’ll fall in love with it. The Kojima district of Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, where cotton cultivation was flourishing, has grown to become the largest producer of crepe canvas in Japan by utilizing this twisting technology, and they still accounts for 70% of the total production in Japan.
